Derek Schoonbaert

Derek Schoonbaert is a seasoned professional currently serving as Vice President at Cargill Process. They have held various leadership roles within Cargill, including Global Commercial Excellence Leader and General Manager for both the Beef and Chicken divisions, where they managed commercial relationships with McDonald’s Canada and oversaw plant operations. Prior to their time at Cargill, Derek worked as a Senior Sales Representative at Dow AgroSciences Canada Inc from 2001 to 2005, where they developed sales strategies and enhanced customer relationships. They hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Agribusiness from the University of Manitoba, obtained in 2001.
