John Schmidt

John Schmidt is an experienced professional in project and operations management with a career at Cargill spanning over 24 years. Currently serving as a Senior Build Project Manager, John demonstrates ambition, logical thinking, and determination, coupled with exceptional leadership and problem-solving skills focused on customer satisfaction and corporate growth. Previously, as Regional Operations Leader, John oversaw operations for 13 grain facilities across four states, successfully coordinating safety programs to meet regulatory requirements. Earlier roles included Plant Manager, where John managed two barge-loading grain facilities and supervised a diverse team, as well as Production Supervisor, focusing on logistics at a Lake Superior vessel loading facility. John holds a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics from North Dakota State University.
