Laura Mattern has extensive experience in food safety and quality assurance, with a career spanning nearly two decades. Currently serving as Customer Technical Services Lead for Foodservice (Protein) at Cargill since August 2015, Laura has previously held positions at Cargill as a Quality Consultant for Alternative Protein and a Food Safety and Quality Systems Specialist. Prior to this, Laura worked at Target as a Vendor Food Safety & Quality Assurance Specialist from November 2012 to August 2015. Laura's career at Cargill began in May 2004, progressing through roles such as Quality Assurance Manager, Quality Assurance Supervisor, Food Safety Coordinator, and Microbiology Laboratory Technician. Laura holds dual Bachelor’s degrees in Microbiology and Dietetics and Clinical Nutrition Services from South Dakota State University, earned between 1998 and 2004.
