Stijn Boonstra

Stijn Boonstra has a strong background in biotechnology and food technology, reflected in various research internships and professional roles. Stijn began with internships at Groningen Biomolecular Sciences and Biotechnology Institute, Institute for Technical Biochemistry, IMEnz Bioengineering BV, Amsterdam Institute for Molecules, Medicines and Systems, and Research Institute MOVE, where significant projects involved protein design, metabolic engineering, and biomechanics. Stijn's experience expanded at Cargill, serving in multiple roles, including Associate Food Technologist, Food Technologist, and QC Technician, focusing on product development, process improvement, and quality assurance in cocoa products. Stijn holds a Master of Science in Biomolecular Sciences from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Biotechnology from Hogeschool Van Hall Larenstein.
