Tyler Smith

Tyler Smith has extensive experience in risk management and energy solutions, currently serving as the Managing Director-Energy Lead at Cargill Risk Management since March 2013. In this role, Tyler leads the energy commercial team, while also focusing on bespoke risk management solutions as Director. Prior to Cargill, Tyler worked at ConocoPhillips from May 2008 to March 2013, holding positions that included Advisor for Credit Structuring and Risk Management and Lead for Treasury-Global Credit Relationships, where responsibilities included managing a team and overseeing non-standard credit transactions. Earlier experience includes serving as Chief Credit Officer for North American Gas and Power at ConocoPhillips, and a summer internship at Merrill Lynch Inc. Tyler holds a BBA in Finance from Texas A&M University, earned between 2003 and 2007.
