Cargo Movers GmbH was founded on July 1, 1998 in Rüsselsheim by Thomas Heiler and Robert Mattern. For the forwarding business they opened an office in Kelsterbach, directly at Frankfurt Airport. Both owners have many years of professional experience in international forwarding and held leading positions in international forwarding companies before founding Cargo Movers GmbH. Through their personal commitment, Thomas Heiler and Robert Mattern have built up a trusted customer base over the years.

Today Cargo Movers is a worldwide operating logistics company, which includes several companies from the logistics and trade sector. The head office of Cargo Movers GmbH is located in "Blauer See" industrial park in Rüsselsheim am Main (Königstädten), just a few minutes away from Frankfurt Airport. A branch office is located in Ganderkesee near Bremen. Other headquarters of the associated companies are located in Frankfurt am Main and Plettenberg.
Since 2023 Cargo Movers is also represented in the Netherlands. Cargo Movers Netherlands B.V. is based in Rotterdam.

The company offers customized transport solutions worldwide in the areas of air freight, sea freight and road transport. Cargo Movers specializes in the import and export of high-value, sensitive and time-critical goods, such as foodstuffs, pharmaceuticals or spare parts for aircraft and ships. Customers such as Fresenius Medical Care, Fresenius Kabi, Coty and Condor trust in the more than 20 years of experience and personal service of the Hessian company.
