Simran Kaur

Simran Kaur has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Simran started their career as a Notetaking Assistant at the UConn Center for Students with Disabilities in 2017. Simran then worked as an Event Coordinator at Westborough Gurudwara, where they co-organized and led cultural events and managed finances. Simran also served as a Transportation Assistant at Community Outreach, Inc.

In 2018, Simran took on the role of a Staff Engineer at Giner, Inc., where they worked on projects related to implantable oxygen generators and specialty batteries. Simran also gained experience as a Process Development Engineer at Shire, where they supported Pilot Plant Operations programs and performed large-scale downstream operations.

Simran's experience in marketing includes working as a Brand Ambassador at Victory Marketing Agency, where they promoted various brands and interacted with consumers. Simran also volunteered as an Entertainment Associate at Sikhi Alpha Foundation, coordinating film and photography for domestic violence and financial literacy campaigns.

Simran's scientific research experience includes roles at bluebird bio and 2seventy bio. Simran started as an Associate Scientist at bluebird bio, specializing in protein capture and purification. Simran then progressed to the role of Associate Scientist II. At 2seventy bio, they held the positions of Associate Scientist II and Senior Associate Scientist, contributing to scientific research and development.

Most recently, Simran joined CARGO Therapeutics as an Associate Scientist, starting in 2022. Overall, Simran Kaur has demonstrated a strong background in scientific research, engineering, marketing, event coordination, and community involvement.

Simran Kaur holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering with a minor in Materials Science Engineering from the University of Connecticut. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in Communication Foundations and Finding Your Introvert/Extrovert Balance in the Workplace from LinkedIn, which were completed in April 2020 and March 2020 respectively.
