Alexander Bauer

Alexander Bauer is an experienced audit professional with a strong background in internal auditing across various sectors. Currently serving as Audit Manager at CARIAD since February 2022, Alexander has played a key role in establishing the Internal Audit function. Previously, as a Senior Auditor at AUDI AG from October 2016 to January 2022, responsibilities included conducting internal audits in areas such as finance, procurement, and IT. Alexander also held the position of Audit Manager at BayWa AG, leading audits of central functions and the Energy sector from October 2013 to September 2016. Earlier in the career at GfK, role involvement included operational, financial, and IT audits as well as group financial reporting according to IFRS. Academic qualifications include a Diplom-Kaufmann (Master) in Accounting and Finance from Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz and further studies at Università degli Studi di Verona.
