John Lavalley

John LaValley is an experienced technology professional currently serving as a Senior Product Owner at CARIAD since February 2023. Prior to this role, John worked at CONNECT, powered by American Family Insurance, from September 2011 to November 2022 as a Principal Software Engineer, where responsibilities included being a Technical Product Owner and leading a team in developing a new sales API channel. John's earlier experience includes serving as Lead Application Architect at Schneider National, leading a team in migrating Java and C++ applications, and as Senior Data Systems Engineer at Lockheed Missiles and Space, where John designed and tested software for aircraft mission planning. John began the career as a Software Quality Engineer working on flight-critical software development for the Air Force’s advanced fighter program. John holds a B.S. in Computer Science with Aviation Applications from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, earned between 1985 and 1989.
