Software Engineer Camera Perception ADAS & AD

Manuel Katanacho is a skilled software engineer specializing in camera perception for advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) and autonomous driving (AD) at CARIAD since December 2020. Previously, Katanacho worked as a software engineer in sensor data fusion at Carmeq GmbH from April 2019 to December 2020 and served as a scientific researcher in machine vision and medical systems engineering at Fraunhofer-Institut für Produktionsanlagen und Konstruktionstechnik IPK from January 2013 to March 2019. Katanacho participated in the World Robot Challenge in Tokyo in October 2018 as part of Team BerlinAUTs and completed a master's thesis on 3D reconstruction for panoramic endoscopy during an internship at Fraunhofer IIS in 2012. Katanacho holds a Ph.D. in engineering from Technische Universität Berlin, a Master of Science from FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg, and a Bachelor of Science from Hochschule München University of Applied Sciences.
