Caritas Moldova — Solidarity in action for the dignity of every person

We are a charity and development organization that turns compassion into concrete programs: humanitarian relief, social inclusion, community development, and advocacy for the poorest. We draw inspiration from Catholic Social Teaching — human dignity, solidarity, subsidiarity, and the common good — and work alongside communities to create durable opportunities and real hope.

Our mission is to protect and promote the dignity of Moldova’s most vulnerable people by providing immediate crisis assistance and long‑term investments in education, health, housing, and economic inclusion. We act with respect, transparency, and accountability so every intervention strengthens communities’ capacity to build a stable future.

Our impact is measured in transformed lives: families restored to stability after crises, children gaining access to education, older adults and people with disabilities receiving dignified care, and communities becoming more resilient. We partner with local authorities, churches, NGOs, and the private sector to multiply resources and maximize results.

Our guiding values are rooted in the Catholic social tradition: respect for human dignity, preferential care for the poor, commitment to social justice, and collective action for the common good. These principles inspire us to pair immediate relief with sustainable solutions so our support becomes a bridge to autonomy.
