Ralph Rodriguez has a range of experience in the software engineering field. Ralph started their career at Mahi Networks in 2000 as a Member of Technical Staff and worked there until 2003. Following that, they joined Tellabs in 2003 as a Principal Engineer and stayed with the company until 2012. During their time at Tellabs, Ralph held a variety of roles in advanced research and development projects. In 2012, they joined Cyan, which was later acquired by Ciena. At Cyan, Ralph worked as a Senior Software Engineer and was responsible for the Element Adapter Architecture and Element Adapter Python SDK for the Cyan Blue Planet SDN Platform. Ralph has experience in deploying components in docker containers and has worked on projects involving big data, data modeling, schema modeling, RDF, and general Python black-magic. Ralph is currently working at Carium as a Software Engineer, starting in 2018.

Ralph Rodriguez obtained their Bachelor of Science in Engineering (BSEL) from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, where they studied from 1990 to 1995. In addition to their degree, Ralph has also earned certifications in various fields. In March 2014, they completed a course on "Control of Mobile Robots" from Coursera. Prior to that, in December 2013, they obtained a certification in "Principles of Reactive Programming" from the same institution. Another certification Ralph obtained in November 2013 was in "Functional Programming Principles in Scala," also from Coursera.
