Umut Ates

Umut Ates has been working in the business industry since 2003. Umut started their career as a Sales Engineer at Eral in 2003. In 2006, they moved to Henkel as a Technical Sales Engineer. In 2007, they co-founded Tolcan, a chemical trading company that was acquired after 1.5 years. In 2008, they became a Market Segment Executive at Organik Kimya. In 2015, they co-founded Carla, a car rental app showing 900 companies in 160 countries. Umut also served as Managing Partner for the company.

Umut Ates graduated from Boğaziçi University in 2003 with a degree in Engineering. Prior to that, they attended Çukurcuma American Academy.
