Banu Ormeci

Banu Ormeci currently serves as the Director of the Global Water Institute at Carleton University since August 2017. In addition to this role, Banu Ormeci has been a faculty member in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Carleton University since July 2005, holding the position of Jarislowsky Chair in Water and Global Health, along with titles of Professor and Canada Research Chair in Wastewater Treatment Engineering. Banu Ormeci's academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering from Dokuz Eylul University, as well as both a Master of Science and a Doctor of Philosophy in Environmental Engineering from Duke University.
