Jay Lim

Jay Lim is the founder and lead designer of 25:8 Architecture + Urban Design, an award-winning architecture studio established in February 2008. In addition to leading this firm, Jay Lim is the founder of 5:2:8 Creative Coffee Collective, which creatively merges coffee culture with innovation. Academic contributions include serving as an adjunct professor at Carleton University's Azrieli School of Architecture and Urbanism while also teaching part-time at Algonquin College and previously at Ryerson University and Conestoga College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning. Professional experience encompasses significant roles at Perkins+Will as a senior associate, Stantec as an architect focused on civic and institutional projects, and earlier positions as a junior architect at firms like Maclennan Jaunkalns Miller Architects and KPMB Architects. Educational credentials include a Master of Science in Architecture & Urban Design from Columbia University and a Master of Architecture from Syracuse University, complemented by a Bachelor of Applied Science in Architecture from Toronto Metropolitan University and a Bachelor of Technology in Architecture from Ryerson University.
