Alan Moore has had a long and varied career in the tax industry. Alan began working as an Inspector of Taxes for Revenue (Ireland) in 1978. In 1989, they moved to LexisNexis Butterworths, where they served as Tax Editor. In 1995, they returned to Revenue (Ireland) as a Principal Officer (contract). In 2004, they were appointed Tax Partner at Mazars Ireland. In 2006, they established their own business, Alan Moore Tax Consultants, where they served as Owner. In 2010, they joined Carma Technology as a Director (Non-executive). Finally, in 1997, they were appointed CEO and knowledge architect at Tax World Ltd.

Alan Moore attended Colaiste Eanna Ballyroan from 1972 to 1977, where they obtained their Leaving Certificate. Alan then attended University College Dublin from 1980 to 1983, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and Philosophy. From 1987 to 1989, they attended the Irish Tax Institute and obtained a Chartered Tax Adviser in Tax Law/Taxation. Alan continued their studies at University College Dublin from 1987 to 1992, where they earned a BComm (MIS) in Business. Finally, they attended Trinity College Dublin from 1994 to 1995, where they earned an MBA in Business.
