Chief Product Officer at Carma Technology

Emmett Murphy has held a variety of roles in the tech industry since 2001. In that year, they began working as a Software Engineer at Cyantel. In 2002, they became an Independent Contractor and Web/Marketing Consultant. From 2005 to 2008, they worked as a Marketing Communications Consultant for various public, private, and non-profit organizations. In 2008, they joined Carma as a Product Manager and Marketing Communications professional. In 2015, they were promoted to Chief Product Officer, taking on overall responsibility for discovering, validating, and defining shared mobility products, as well as working with engineers and designers to rapidly deploy and iterate on customer-driven features. Emmett has seven years of product management experience and end-to-end design skills from rapid prototyping through visual design (Sketch).

Emmett Murphy's education history includes graduating from Ashton High School in 1998, followed by a BSc in Business Information Systems from University College Cork in 2002. Emmett then completed a MA in International Relations from University College Cork in 2005. In 2011, they obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Product Management from Technological University Dublin. Most recently, they completed an Economics for Managers course from Harvard Business School Online in 2020.
