Amanda Burress is an experienced educator and literacy specialist with a focus on dyslexia and learner-centered instruction. Currently serving as the Lead Tutor Instructor and Certified Dyslexia Tutor at Carnegie Learning since May 2023, Amanda previously held positions as a Dyslexia Therapist at iReading TUTOR, LLC, and an Online Adjunct Instructor at both Ashford University and Concordia University, Nebraska. Amanda has a diverse background in elementary education, having worked as a Title 1 Teacher at Schlarman Academy, a Reading Specialist at Next Generation Preschool, and an elementary teacher in Danville District #118 and Iroquois County Community Unit School District. With advanced degrees in Reading Specialist and Reading and Literacy, Amanda has also served as Director at the Children's Dyslexia Center of East Central Illinois, where training and evaluating new tutors was a key responsibility. Amanda is actively enhancing professional skills through the Applied Instructional Design Academy.
