Barry Malkin

Barry Malkin is the CEO of Carnegie Learning, a prominent provider of educational curriculum and adaptive learning software, a position held since November 2015. Malkin serves on the Technology Advisory Board at Madison Dearborn Partners, LLC, beginning in September 2020. Previously, Malkin was the Head of Strategy and Corporate Development at Apollo Education Group from June 2008 to February 2014, overseeing significant acquisition and investment activities. Malkin also established the educational services practice at Bear Stearns as Managing Director from April 2004 to May 2008. Additional experience includes roles at Career Education Corporation, Credit Suisse, Merrill Lynch, and JPMorgan Chase, primarily in mergers and acquisitions. Malkin holds an MBA in Finance from NYU Stern School of Business and a BS in Business Administration from American University.
