Curtis Mickens, M. Ed., serves as a Math Instructional Specialist and Instructional Leader at Spring ISD, where responsibilities include data-driven instruction and intervention design. Recent achievements include co-developing a master schedule that incorporates a daily 45-minute tutoring block and leading a STAAR intervention plan that enhances student grouping for targeted tutorials. In addition, as a Professional Learning & Math Implementation Specialist at Carnegie Learning, Curtis has provided targeted coaching to over 30 educators, achieving improved classroom observation scores and fostering a significant increase in student comprehension. Previous experience includes evaluating student performance metrics in grades 6–8 at Spring ISD and implementing a results-driven math curriculum at Clarksville Montgomery County School System. Curtis holds a Master's of Science in Education Theory and Practice, a Bachelor's of Science in Middle School Math Education, and is pursuing Principal Certification in Educational Leadership and Administration.
