Derrick Karimi is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in software development and research. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at Carnegie Robotics LLC since July 2015, Derrick previously held positions at Carnegie Mellon University Software Engineering Institute, where involvement included software engineering research and the development of solutions for the Intelligence Community and high-performance computing. Derrick's career also includes roles as a Software Consultant at Intergraph, a Senior Software Engineer at Erdas, and Lead Developer at Differential Solutions, Inc. Early experience includes a position as a Research Assistant at the Georgia Tech Research Institute. Derrick holds both a Master’s and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology, completed between 1998 and 2005.
