Caroline Russell

Caroline Russell is a Principal Technologist at Carollo Engineers, where responsibilities include managing and providing technical leadership on water supply, treatment, and distribution system projects for water utilities across the United States since September 2016. Previously, Caroline served as a Lecturer at The University of Texas at Austin for an upper-level environmental engineering class on Water and Wastewater Engineering Treatment in early 2021, and held the position of National Practice Technical Leader - Drinking Water at ARCADIS U.S. from 2006 to 2016, where technical leadership was provided for North America's Water Business Line. Earlier experience includes serving as an AAAS Science & Technology Diplomacy Fellow with USAID, managing significant research programs aimed at collaboration in the Middle East, and completing a post-doctoral internship with the International Water Management Institute, focusing on the impact of wastewater irrigation in India. Caroline holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor's degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Duke University.
