Raphael Knickerbocker

Raphael Knickerbocker, Ph.D., P.E., is a seasoned Water/Wastewater Engineer currently employed at Carollo Engineers since January 2024, having previously served in similar roles at Kimley-Horn. With an extensive academic background, Raphael held the position of Professor of Environmental Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and served as Assistant Professor at the University of São Paulo, contributing to significant advancements in environmental sanitation standards in Brazil. Raphael's research experience includes a fellowship at Harvard School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, and prior roles include technical auditing for the São Paulo Environmental Protection Agency and various environmental consulting positions. Raphael holds a Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering and a degree in Environmental Engineering from USP - Universidade de São Paulo.
