CARPENTE is a discreet London-based architecture and interior design practice dedicated to creating deeply personal homes defined by material sensitivity, trust and emotional resonance.

Founded by French-born, Swiss-trained architect Christophe Carpente, the studio brings together architectural precision, artistic sensibility and a holistic approach to design – considering every element from exterior setting and interior structure to spatial flow, bespoke furniture, lighting and art curation.

Every home is conceived as a singular expression of its inhabitants, shaped through a process grounded in empathy, collaboration and creative dialogue.

CARPENTE’s work balances quiet elegance with purposeful functionality. Each space is designed not simply to cater perfectly to the lifestyle of its inhabitants, but to evoke a profound sense of belonging – a feeling that endures beyond novelty and fashion.

While the practice is today wholly focused on residential commissions, its approach is enriched by a distinguished heritage in the luxury world. Early collaborations with maisons such as Burberry, Cartier, Christian Lacroix, De Beers, Dunhill and Hugo Boss instilled a rare understanding of craft, detail, identity and the emotional experience of space – qualities that define CARPENTE’s residential work today.

Every project is a journey of trust and transformation, guided by a shared pursuit of beauty, meaning and authenticity.

NB Announced in July 2026, CARPENTE is proud to be one of Country & Town House magazine's 50 Finest Interior Designers
