John Garlen possesses extensive experience in safety and operations within the manufacturing and security sectors. Currently serving as Site Safety Lead at Carpenter Additive since January 2018, John has played a pivotal role in implementing safety protocols and operational models across powder facilities. At Carpenter Technology Corporation, John has held various leadership roles, including Team Lead for Lend Forward/BMO Team CPP, focusing on employee training and safety awareness. Previous experience includes roles as a Security Technician at Shaffer Security LLC, a Machine Operator at International Diesel, and a Weld Tech at Steelcase. John holds a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety Management from Athens State University, along with a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from The University of Alabama in Huntsville, and has further educational background in Mechanical Drafting.
