Ning Z.

Ning Z. currently serves as a Principal Metallurgist in Research and Development at Carpenter Technology Corporation, a position held since April 2017. Prior experience includes serving as a Materials Scientist in the Metals Lab at GE Global Research from November 2011 to March 2017, where Ning focused on the development of new alloys for the aviation and power sectors, as well as computer modeling related to materials and processes. Earlier roles also include a Research Engineer in the Materials Science and Engineering Department at The Ohio State University from December 2009 to October 2011, contributing to programs for the Air Force by developing models for metal deformation mechanisms. Ning's career began as a Process Engineer in the Photo Lithography Department at Grace Semiconductor Manufacturing Corporation in 2003. Academic qualifications include a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from The Ohio State University, along with a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in the same field from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
