Ray DeFrain has been with Carpenter Technology Corporation since December 2008, serving as Manager of Regional Metallurgy, where Ray leads a global team of metallurgists in providing technical support and fostering product adoption. Prior roles included Regional Metallurgist, focusing on customer engagement and application engineering, and Product Metallurgist, where Ray developed manufacturing methods for corrosion-resistant products while implementing cost-saving measures. Before joining Carpenter Technology, Ray worked as a Researcher at Penn State University from December 2006 to December 2008, studying Iron-Nickel Meteorites and enhancing knowledge of material science and metallurgy.
