Vladislav Ivanov, PhD, has a robust background in civil engineering and geosciences, holding a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Nottingham and both a Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy from Politecnico di Milano. With experience as a Teaching Assistant and Research Fellow at Politecnico di Milano, Vladislav contributed significantly to the development of innovative solutions for landslide monitoring through low-cost optical fibre sensors, participating in key research projects such as Mapping the Hydrogeological Control on Shallow landsliding. Currently, Vladislav serves as a Lecturer and Design and Technical Engineer at Carpi Tech, where expertise in engineering and risk mitigation continues to be applied.
