Bryan Tan, PhD, is the President and CEO of Carro Indonesia, leading the largest online used car marketplace in Southeast Asia since January 2021. In this role, Bryan is driving operations and growth while leveraging data-driven solutions to enhance customer and stakeholder value. Previously, as Group Chief Scientist and Chief Data Scientist at Carro, Bryan spearheaded technological innovations and the data science team to optimize customer insights and operational efficiency. In addition to roles at Carro, Bryan serves as the Director of Intellectual Property at Nanyang Technological University Singapore and as a Commissioner at PT Mitra Pinasthika Mustika Rent, influencing commercial and strategic decisions for a major fleet operator in Indonesia. Bryan’s expertise in nuclear policy development was furthered during a tenure as a Research Fellow at the Singapore Nuclear Research and Safety Initiative. Bryan holds a PhD in Earth Science from the University of Cambridge, a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from Nanyang Technological University Singapore, and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the National University of Singapore.
