Ben Mathis

Ben Mathis, CISSP, CCSP has over 20 years of experience in the IT industry. Ben has held various leadership roles, starting in 2000 as a Server Engineer at Tek Systems, Inc. From 2001 to 2005, they worked as a LAN Administrator at Hyatt Hotels & Resorts, where they were responsible for network architecture and support for over 600 users. Then, they joined Data Transmission Network as a Sr. Systems Engineer - Windows Server Team Lead, where they led a team responsible for server and storage architecture. In 2008, they became the Director of Enterprise Infrastructure - IT at QA3 Financial Corp, providing strategic direction and engineering for the company's IT Infrastructure and Security objectives. Later, in 2011, they became the Vice President of Technology at PayFlex Systems USA, Inc., where they managed infrastructure staff and technologies. Currently, they work as the VP, IT Operations & Security at Carson Group, where they oversee IT operations and security. Throughout their career, Ben has emphasized cybersecurity compliance and has extensive experience in server and network infrastructure, virtualization, and Active Directory. Ben holds the CISSP and CCSP certifications.

Ben Mathis, CISSP, CCSP received their education in Computer Science from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, where they studied from 1997 to 2001. Prior to that, they pursued Mechanical Engineering at Iowa State University from 1996 to 1997. In addition to their educational background, Ben Mathis also holds certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) credentials, obtained from (ISC)² in June 2022 and April 2022, respectively.
