Sam Kline

CTO at Carson & Saint

Sam Kline joined the company in 1999 as the chief development engineer, providing the security expertise and software development talent to drive the transformation of Carson & SAINT from an open-source tool into a full-featured commercial scanning suite. He became CTO in 2009 and is currently responsible for establishing the company’s technical vision and leading all aspects of technology development. He provides engineering and architecture oversight for the SAINT Security Suite and design and deployment of new vulnerability assessment and penetration testing capabilities in SAINT products. Before joining Carson & SAINT, Sam was a key force behind the proactive defense of the Pentagon’s information systems in his role as supervisor of network vulnerability assessments and penetration testing. Sam has a B.S., magna cum laude in Electrical and Civil Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis and an M.S. in Computer Science and Applications from Virginia Tech. He is a recognized expert in the information security industry, having spoken at a variety of conferences and universities.
