Jayant Tikmani

Jayant Tikmani is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in machine learning and data science, currently serving as the Director of Machine Learning at Carta since November 2019. In this role, Jayant leads the ML and AI strategy, focusing on autonomous AI systems and LLM-powered document intelligence. Previous positions at Carta include Senior Manager and Manager of Machine Learning, where contributions included driving ML initiatives and optimizing customer-facing data products. Prior to Carta, Jayant worked at Expedia Group, orchestrating fraud detection strategies and developing predictive analytics in the fraud data science domain. Jayant's experience also encompasses data science curriculum development for Coder Kids, where educational material on data mining was crafted, and academic roles as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant at the University of Maryland. Jayant holds a Master of Science in Information Systems from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering from the University of Mumbai.
