Algorithm Engineer at Carteav

Alex Kogan has a diverse work experience in algorithm engineering and research. Alex is currently working as an Algorithm Engineer at Carteav, where they focus on robotic control algorithms and robot localization algorithms. Before joining Carteav, Alex worked at Fabric from 2016 to 2022 as an Algorithm Engineer, where they developed embedded c control algorithms, Python peripheral applications, and robotic arm/vision algorithms. Prior to that, they served as a Teaching Assistant at Ben Gurion University of the Negev from 2014 to 2016. Alex also worked at PointGrab as an Algorithms Engineer from 2013 to 2014, conducting research in image processing, computer vision, and supporting offshore hardware manufacturer partners. Alex began their career in the Israel Defense Forces in 2007, where they held roles as a Senior Algorithms Engineer and Algorithms Communication Engineer. In these positions, they conducted research, adapted new technological advances, worked with experienced advisers, supervised R&D personnel, and developed various aspects of wireless communication systems.

Alex Kogan earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev in 2007. Alex also obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Mathematics from the same university during the same time period.

Following that, Alex Kogan pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree, with a focus on PAPR related problems in OFDM system, at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev from 2010 to 2013.
