Chad Hoffmann

VP, Research and Development at Carterra

Chad is responsible for software, hardware, research and development programs and new product development at Carterra. Chad has been developing complex products for both the military and biotech industry for nearly 20 years. Most recently Chad was the lead in instrument development at BioFire Diagnostics (now BioMerieux), developing real-time multiplex PCR diagnostics with hyper specificity and sensitivities. Prior to that he developed data links for all branches of the military on land, sea, air, and space platforms for L3 Communications (now L3Harris). Earlier, Chad was a system engineer for the Minuteman Missile system while working for Boeing. Chad earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Utah, and an MBA with honors, focusing on Technology Management and Commercialization, from Westminster College.
