Mark Markowitz

Vice President at Cartesian Inc

Mark is responsible for business development efforts in the Tier 1 telecommunications carrier industry and brings over twenty-five years of experience in IT and consulting to Cartesian.

Prior to joining Cartesian, Mark founded RVA in 2005, which sold more than $29 million in consulting services during the first two years, after which it was acquired by Cartesian. Prior to creating RVA, Mark held several executive positions including Executive Vice President and founder of SBI, President of Emerald Solutions, and Chief Information Officer at EDS, where Mark was responsible for multiple outsourcing projects for large clients. Also, at Claremont Technologies, he was the key executive responsible for taking the company public.

Mark received his Bachelor of Science degree from SUNY and Master of Arts degree from American University. He has also served as the Chairman of Computer Science at Washington International College and taught at American University. Mark is the Chairman of the Yogi Berra Museum & Learning Center in Little Falls, NJ, and on the Advisory Board of the Somerset Patriots in Bridgewater, NJ. Along with supporting many charities, Mark is involved with the Joe Torre Safe At Home Foundation.
