Fadel Adib's work experience includes roles at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Cartesian Systems. Fadel started at MIT in 2016 as an Assistant Professor and the Sony Career Development Chair, where they founded the Signal Kinetics research group. During this time, they received prestigious honors such as the National Science Foundation CAREER Award and the Office of Naval Research Young Investigator Award. Fadel also led their team to receive the ACM SIGCOMM Best Paper Award and the Ocean Observing Explorer Prize. In 2020, they became an Associate Professor and the Doherty Chair, continuing their research on wireless and sensor technologies. Fadel'swork led to the creation of a new funding track by the National Science Foundation. In 2022, they joined Cartesian Systems as the CEO and Co-Founder, focusing on creating mixed reality technology for indoor supply chain operations.
Fadel Adib obtained their Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Computer and Communications Engineering from the American University of Beirut. Fadel later pursued higher education at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where they earned a Master's degree in Computer Science. Subsequently, Fadel continued their education at MIT, completing their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Science.
