John van Rooy

John van Rooy has over 25 years of work experience, with their most recent role being a Software Integrations Specialist at CartonCloud since May 2021. Before that, they worked as a Senior Consultant at Good News Investments Pty Ltd from August 2019 to May 2021. Prior to that, they held the position of Senior Consultant at GLASS from December 2017 to August 2019. John also worked at Energy Queensland as a Strategic Consultant, Business Analyst, Senior Program Analyst, and Program Planner from December 2011 to September 2017. Before that, they held various roles at City of Gold Coast, including Manager Asset Management Solutions and ICT Strategy/Policy Analyst. John also worked at Datacom as a Business Development Manager from September 2005 to April 2007, and at CITEC as a Team Leader, Solution Analyst, Principal Consultant, Presales, and Sales from January 1996 to January 2005.

John van Rooy completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology from Griffith University in 1996. In 1995, they started studying at Griffith University for their Bachelor of Business degree in Computing, which they completed in 1995. The education history also reveals that John obtained a Diploma of Project Management from Chifley Business from 2011 to 2014. Additionally, they have acquired several certifications such as the Professional Scrum Master certification from Scrum.org in February 2018, AgilePM certification from Yellowhouse in January 2018, AIPM Award - Certified Practising Project Manager (CPPM) from the Australian Institute of Project Management in February 2016, and IT Information Library Foundations Certification (ITIL) from ALC Training in December 2007.
