Corey Murphy has a diverse work experience in various industries. Corey started their career at Paddy Power, where they held roles as a Gaming Support Agent, Junior Payment Executive, and eventually became a Customer Payments Analyst. In these positions, they managed payment operations, handled escalated payment issues, and maintained stakeholder relationships.

After their time at Paddy Power, Corey joined Sportsbet as a Commercial Operations Project Lead, where they were responsible for managing payment, fraud, and compliance projects. Corey later became the Strategy and Optimization Manager, leading a team in developing and executing core strategies for payments and fraud. Corey also temporarily acted as the Customer Risk Team Manager.

From there, Corey moved on to eShopWorld as the Head of eCommerce Operations. In this role, they focused on payment, fraud, and shopper conversion performance. Corey worked closely with the Senior Leadership Team to develop and execute strategies for growth.

Currently, Corey is with CarTrawler, where they have held multiple positions. Corey first served as the Head of Customer Transactions, overseeing customer payments, fraud, chargebacks, refunds, and cancellations. Corey then advanced to the role of Director of Customer Transactions, Insights & Delivery. In this role, Corey is responsible for multiple operations within the Customer Function, including delivery, analytics, payments, fraud, and refunds. Corey drives strategic initiatives, manages budgets, and focuses on delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Additionally, Corey is an advisory board member of the Merchant Risk Council (MRC), a global non-profit organization that connects fraud and payments professionals in the eCommerce industry. Corey actively participates in sharing knowledge and helping others in the field.

Corey Murphy's education history includes a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) in Accounting from the University of Galway, which was obtained from 2008 to 2011. In 2018 to 2019, they attended University College Dublin and obtained a Professional Diploma in Creativity, Innovation, and Leadership. Corey Murphy is currently pursuing a Certificate in Leadership at Munster Technological University, starting in 2021. Additionally, in 2021, they also undertook a CPD Module in Business Strategy at the University of Galway. Corey Murphy has obtained additional certifications, including an edX Verified Certificate for The Foundations of Happiness at Work from edX in January 2021 and a Time Management Fundamentals certificate from LinkedIn in May 2017.
