Gavin Sweeney

Gavin Sweeney has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Gavin began their career in 2012 as an Administrative Officer - Economist at the Department of Finance, where they were responsible for inflation and labour market forecasting, as well as representing the department at international working groups. In 2014, they joined Paddy Power Betfair and held various roles, including Snr. Commercial Performance Manager and Acquisition Senior Commercial and Planning Executive. In 2017, they moved to CarTrawler as the Head of Digital Marketing, and later took on the role of Head of Business Performance. Currently, they serve as the Director of Trading. Throughout their career, Gavin has showcased their expertise in data analysis, strategic planning, and team leadership.

Gavin Sweeney has a diverse education history. Gavin obtained a Masters degree in Economic Policy from the University of Galway, where they studied from 2011 to 2012. Prior to that, they pursued a Masters degree in Finance at the Michael Smurfit School of Business, UCD, from 2008 to 2009. Gavin achieved their Bachelor's degree in Business from the Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology, where they studied between 2002 and 2006.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Gavin Sweeney has also obtained several certifications. Gavin became a Section4 Certified Strategist in October 2021 and completed a course on Managing Meetings through LinkedIn in May 2020. Gavin further enhanced their skills with a certification in Financial Analysis: Introduction to Business Performance Analysis from LinkedIn in February 2017. Gavin also acquired a certification in Google AdWords from Google in December 2015.
