Carty House provides a first home and a helping hand to refugee women in need in the Ottawa area.

Carty House accomplishes this by providing a safe space for refugee women to live, grow, build a community, and settle into their new lives in Canada, as well as providing support and assistance with various aspects of their settlement and integration journey.

Carty House is the only home dedicated to female refugees in Ottawa.

Carty House is honoured to receive funding support from the Ontario Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing, the Government of Canada, and the City of Ottawa.
