Chris Penner

Chris Penner has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. In their most recent role at Carvana, they served as a Lead Engineer, overseeing engineering projects. Prior to that, they held positions as a Senior Automation Engineer and Automation Engineer at the same company.

Before joining Carvana, Chris worked as a Software Engineer at Royalty Advocate, where they developed web applications and managed projects. Chris also gained experience as a Project Manager and Software Engineer during their capstone project at Arizona State University, where they developed fundraising apps for iOS and Android.

In addition to their software engineering roles, Chris has mechanical engineering experience. Chris served as a Mechanical Engineer at Titan Logix Corp, where they played a key role in product development and process improvement. Chris also worked as a Manufacturing Engineer at John Deere, managing production departments and capital projects.

Chris Penner obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering from Arizona State University from 2015 to 2018. Before that, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alberta, attending from 2007 to 2012. Chris completed their high school education at Paul Kane High School from 2004 to 2007. In terms of additional certifications, Chris Penner obtained a Professional Engineering License (P. Eng) from The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA) in October 2015. Chris also holds certifications as a Certified SolidWorks Professional and Certified SolidWorks Associate from Dassault Systèmes, obtained in April 2015 and March 2015, respectively. In September 2013, they completed the Xcode Fundamentals course from Udemy.
