Michael Kasper

Michael Kasper is a data scientist currently employed at Carvana since March 2025. Prior experience includes a role as a research assistant at Case Western Reserve University, where analysis focused on the behavioral response of praying mantises, and a genetic research associate at Washington University School of Medicine, involving extensive wet lab experimentation. Michael also worked as an imaging research specialist at Barrow Neurological Institute, processing MRI and PET images for studies on manganese exposure and Parkinson's disease. As a bioinformatician at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, web applications have been developed for oncology research, alongside training machine learning models. Additional experience includes serving as a program coordinator at Teton Literacy Center, managing educational programming and grant writing, and participation as an Americorps volunteer. Michael holds a B.S. in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Case Western Reserve University, completed an Applied Data Science Bootcamp at MIT, and is pursuing a Master of Science in Bioinformatics at Brandeis University.
