Aiman K. has a diverse range of work experience in the fields of scientific content engineering, bioinformatics, research, and laboratory assistance. They began their career as a Health Biotechnology Lab Assistant at GCUF, where they conducted anti-microbial screenings of medicinal plants and contributed to the development of an HCV diagnostic assay. They also gained experience as an Industrial Biotechnology Lab Assistant, working on the development of bio-gas from different types of waste.
In 2014, Aiman joined the Plant Biotechnology Lab at GCUF as a Lab Assistant, where they worked to identify Begomovirus in ornamental plants and performed DNA extraction and transformation in E. coli. They later volunteered in a clinical lab at Raj Soin Medical Center.
Aiman's academic journey continued at Wright State University, where they served as a Graduate Student in the Pharmacology and Toxicology Lab. There, they conducted literature searches and created reports related to pancreatic cell doses of Gemcitabine. They also acquired skills in pipetting, cell culture, staining, and lab management.
At Dr. David Cool Lab, Boonshoft School of Medicine, Wright State University, Aiman worked as a Graduate Student, establishing enzyme assays and determining the presence of MMP-2/9 in wound samples using various techniques such as western blotting and Mass Spectrometry.
From 2017 to 2021, Aiman worked at Nationwide Children's Hospital as a Research Associate and later as a Senior Research Associate. They developed and implemented bioinformatics pipelines for the analysis of single-cell RNA sequencing data and bulk RNA sequencing data. They performed statistical analysis, collaborated with research team members, and managed multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
Finally, Aiman currently holds a position as a Scientific Content Engineer at CAS, where they utilize their expertise in scientific content to help the company in their mission.
Aiman K. has a diverse education history. Aiman obtained a Bachelor's degree in Bioinformatics & Biotechnology from Government College University, Faisalabad, Pakistan, from 2010 to 2014.
