Jon Shane

Jon Shane has extensive experience in quality assurance (QA) and test coordination roles. Jon began their career as a QA Analyst at Compuware Corporation in 1997, where they eventually became a Test Lead. In 2002, they joined JPMorganChase as a QA Team Lead, managing a team of over 20 individuals and overseeing the user acceptance testing process for Peregrine Service Center.

In 2004, Jon became a Test Team Leader and Automated Tool Expert at Worthington Ind. (consultant), where they managed a test team and utilized Cognos Reporting Toolkit for testing a Business Intelligence application. Jon also worked as a QA Analyst at Worthington Industries during this time.

From 2006 to 2008, Jon served as a QA Coordinator at American Electric Power, responsible for test coordination on a large project and the development of an automation framework for regression testing Business Object reports. Jon then transitioned to the role of QA Test Coordinator at AEP, where they continued to oversee test coordination and played a key role in meeting project deadlines and quality gate criteria.

In 2008, Jon joined CareWorks Technologies as the Director of Quality Assurance, where they established a QA Center of Excellence and was responsible for hiring and managing QA resources. Jon also coordinated company activities for the QA consultant community.

In 2012, Jon joined Nationwide Insurance as a Test Lead, leading the testing effort for an Internet application Build team and coordinating QA activities within an Agile test team.

In 2013, Jon worked as a QA Lead at Limited Brands, responsible for coordinating all test activities on a re-platforming project for La Senza Direct website. Jon utilized HP Quality Center for test planning and validation activities.

Finally, in 2013, Jon joined CAS as a Senior Systems Engineer, specializing in QA for the SciFinder Web application. Jon worked within an Agile team utilizing Scrum and Kanban techniques and utilized various tools such as Jira, Git/Gerrit, and RubyMine for automation tasks.

Throughout their career, Jon has demonstrated expertise in QA, test coordination, automation, and Agile methodologies. Jon has a proven track record of successfully leading and managing testing efforts and implementing best practices in QA.

Jon Shane attended Cincinnati State Technical and Community College from 1990 to 1995. During this time, they pursued a degree in Computer Programming. Prior to that, from 1978 to 1980, Jon Shane was involved with jobs for Marion freshers, though no specific degree or field of study information is provided for this period.
