Systems Engineer - Capacity Services at CAS

Michael Snyder has a diverse work experience that spans over several decades. Michael started their career in the Army National Guard as a Combat Medical Specialist, providing medical support to infantry and combat units. After leaving the military, they worked as an English Teacher in the Peace Corps for two years. Michael then transitioned into the technology field, starting as a UNIX Administrator at BankOne, Chemical Abstracts Service, and National Century Financial Services. Michael continued their career as a UNIX System Administrator and SAN Administrator at The Ohio State University. Michael then joined JPMC, where they worked as an Open Systems Engineer Senior, supporting various UNIX systems and utilizing Veritas Volume Manager, Veritas Cluster, and RAC. Finally, they joined CAS as a Systems Engineer, specializing in capacity planning for computer server infrastructure.

Michael Snyder's education history is as follows:

Michael attended Otterbein University from 1999 to 2002, where they studied Computer Science.

In 1994, they briefly studied the Slovak language at Univerzita Komenského v Bratislave.

From 1991 to 1994, they pursued Russian and Czech Languages at Indiana University Bloomington.

Michael obtained a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Slavic Languages and Literatures from The Ohio State University in 1994.

During 1992-1993, they studied the Finnish language at the University of Helsinki.

In 1990, they studied Russian at Institut Ruskovo Jazika Imena Pushkina.

For their undergraduate studies, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Slavic and East European Studies from The Ohio State University between 1986 and 1990.

Prior to their university education, Michael attended Lincoln High School from 1981 to 1985, where they studied the French language.

In addition to their formal education, Michael Snyder has obtained various certifications from LinkedIn.
