Dylan Mathiesen

Dylan Mathiesen has a wealth of experience in the technology industry. Dylan began their career as an IT Technician at the Queensland Department of Education in 2009. In 2011, they took on a Tutoring role at James Cook University, where they ran group discussions and provided individual assistance to students learning to program in Python. In 2012, Mathiesen worked as a Software Engineer at SafetyCulture Pty Ltd, leading the development of iAuditor's first cloud-based platform. In 2015, they founded Interactive Geospatial, where they developed scale models of cities with interactive projections. That same year, Mathiesen took on a Software Engineer role at James Cook University, where they designed the software architecture and developed custom visualisation libraries. From 2017 to 2020, Mathiesen worked as a Product Manager and UX Researcher at SafetyCulture. Most recently, in 2021, they joined Cascade as a Group Product Manager and Senior Product Manager.

Dylan Mathiesen has an educational background in Information Technology. Dylan earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from James Cook University from 2012 to 2017, and a Bachelor's degree with Honours from the same university from 2008 to 2011.
