Amanda Granger is CASES first Senior Director of Communications, bringing centralized leadership and strategy at a critical time of organizational growth and evolution. Amanda previously served as the Director of Community Engagement at The WNET Group, home to New York City’s flagship public television station. In her ten years at WNET, Amanda led large-scale national initiatives for PBS programs; developed strategic partnerships with government, nonprofit, and public media partners—including to develop relevant and responsive programming for underserved communities; advised executive leadership on diversity, equity, and inclusion issues; and worked closely with the WNET fundraising team. She has previously volunteered with Court Watch NYC, attending arraignments in NYC Criminal Courts, and currently volunteers with the Parole Preparation Project working with people serving life sentences in New York to prepare for parole board hearings.

The mission of CASES is to increase the understanding and use of community sanctions that are fair, affordable, and consistent with public safety. CASES serves nearly 4,000 individuals annually in programs lasting anywhere from one day to more than two years. Their programs are aimed at high-need populations, including young people, adults with mental illness, and chronic misdemeanants who are homeless, drug-addicted, or underemployed.
