Nadia Chait

Senior Director, Policy & Advocacy at CASES

Nadia Chait is an experienced advocate and policy analyst who has spent nearly a decade working in behavioral health and criminal-legal policy. Most recently, Nadia led to state and city advocacy work at The Coalition for Behavioral Health, where she rose to Assistant Vice President for Policy, Advocacy & Communications. In this role, Nadia led legislative, budget, and regulatory advocacy for The Coalition’s 100 member agencies. She successfully advocated with state officials for permanent telehealth services and was an instrumental part of a campaign to increase funding for behavioral health providers. Nadia also led member committees for The Coalition and created a Committee on Justice-Impacted Individuals. Prior to her time at The Coalition, Nadia worked at Everytown for Gun Safety, where she focused on increasing support and funding for non-carceral and community solutions to gun violence. Nadia has also worked at the US Department of Health and Human Services, where she conducted research on opioid use, and for a New York City Council Member, under whom she started her career in political campaigns. She has an MPA in Health Policy & Management and a BA in History from New York University.
