Marc Butakis

Marc Butakis is currently the VP of Operations at Casper. Prior to this, they held positions as the Director of Global Sales Operations at Marc Jacobs and the Commercial Operations Manager at Kate Spade. Marc has also worked as a customer experience consultant and an associate director of distribution.

Butakis has extensive experience in managing operations for large companies. At Marc Jacobs, they were responsible for leading the global sales operations team. Marc was also integral in creating a scalable, sustainable infrastructure of process improvement to support rapid organizational growth across the globe. At Kate Spade, they led many aspects of commercial operations including international logistics, customer service, and corporate allocations.

Butakis has also shown himself to be skilled in project management and budgeting. At McMaster-Carr, they led a team of 200+ employees and managers in a high-volume distribution center. Marc successfully managed a program of six projects to leverage systems and identify operational bottlenecks to streamline flows - resulting in an improved average velocity of 10% across all shipments. Marc also managed a $2.5 million corrugated materials budget and was able to save $250,000 annually through renegotiating contracts on various corrugated supplies.

Butakis' experience in both managing operations and leading teams makes him well-suited for their current role as VP of Operations at Casper. Marc has demonstrated time and time again their ability to improve efficiency and create process improvements that support organizational growth. Marc's skills in project management and budgeting will continue to be an asset as they take on this new role at Casper.

Marc Butakis holds a Bachelor's degree from Cornell University in Interdisciplinary Studies: Biological Sciences & Management. Marc also has a degree in Business from The Wharton School and a Project Management degree from Villanova University.
