Emile Maras is a software engineer at CAST since September 2018, with a background in advanced research and modeling. Previously, Emile worked at CEA as a chercheur from January 2017 to July 2018, focusing on atomic-scale modeling of the plastic behavior of nuclear fuel cladding. Emile pursued post-doctoral studies at Aalto University from January 2013 to August 2016 and completed a doctoral degree at Université Paris-Sud from September 2009 to October 2012. Emile obtained a Master’s degree in Sciences et Génie des Matériaux from INSA Lyon, having also studied at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur in 2007-2008.
